It’s that time of the year when we start to ask people to consider taking up a position on the committee. One position at least will be declared vacant at our upcoming AGM. Many Committee members have given at least 2 or more years to the committee. Without the committee there is no Ramblers. The committee needs members to deal with the website, keep the program up to date, welcome newcomers, a treasurer to look after our finances, someone to follow up on insurance, someone to record our activities and attendances, someone to answer enquiries, a newsletter editor, a member to look after OH and S, and a publicity officer to help us gain new members so that we can continue to put on activities. The secretary is an important roll and finally, as President, I try to keep us on track!
Please think about volunteering, you will learn a great deal and make good friends, please don’t keep leaving it to ‘someone else’! There may be no one else!
