A training day for first aid designed specifically for paddlers is being proposed.  This would be provided by Directions Health, an organisation recommended by Paddle Australia NSW.  There have been very good reports from members of the Sutherland Kayak Club regarding the presentation of these courses.  The course would cost participants $110 of which half would be refunded by the Illawarra Ramblers so the final cost would be only $55 per member.

The course will be run in February or March 2025 on a date to be advised.  Expressions of interest are sought from current Ramblers paddlers .  The course will also be opened up to Illawarra Canoe Club members as it will be run at their clubhouse in Northcliffe Drive, Warrawong.

If interested, please indicate your preference as to whether the course would be better on a weekday or weekend and if any preferences for particular dates or a range of date.  The course will run for a full day and could involve on water exercises and instructions.
