Autumn 2018 Newsletter

We can now look forward to the cooler months of Autumn and once again, have a program full of activities.  There are plenty of reasons to keep fit and active during 2018 and no excuses for giving up any New Year’s resolutions.

We also have a number of new activities.  Look out for the visit to the Booderee Botanic Gardens, the only Aboriginal-owned Botanic Gardens in Australia.  A free walk has been organised where you can learn about bush tucker and medicinal uses of plants and the long association that Koori people have with the area.  It’s scheduled for 12 June which is some time away, but expressions of interest are requested by 13 March and firm commitments must be made by 15 May.   Details are in the program.

There are a number of trips away.  Those scheduled for later in the year are at the end of the program.  Some trips are already booked out, however waiting lists are in place.  It’s worthwhile checking online from time to time to keep abreast of any changes.

A few members have had problems when trying to renew online.  We are still working on resolving the issues and appreciate your patience.  If you know your membership expiry date, the best option is to wait until the next day then login and go straight to the Shop to purchase a new membership.  If you have any queries or need assistance please don’t hesitate to contact either Ros Tierney or myself.

Thank you to all the leaders who have contributed to such an interesting Autumn program.

Enjoy!
