Booderee Botanic Gardens are the only Aboriginal-owned botanic gardens in Australia.  On this free walk learn about bush tucker and medicinal uses of plants and the long association that Koori people have with the area and the plants of south eastern Australia.  There will be an afternoon scenic walk in the park to make a full day.  Car sharing will be organised.  Expressions of interest are required by 13 March and bookings by 15 May for this activity to go ahead.

(Possible coffee stop for those gasping!)  Short car shuffle to Manning Lookout.  Walk along the escarpment on old tracks via various lookouts to Faulks and Blakemans.  Descend Blakemans lookout on tortuous but treelined route to the ridge into Kangaroo Valley.   Walk is really a grade 3-4 but leader has only explored the difficult bit.  Rest of it is well mapped with GPS waypoints. [No ropes required just a tough bottom.]  Leisurely pace to allow adequate sight seeing.
