Before participating in an activity, please familiarise yourself with our Grading and Guidelines and in particular, check that your equipment is in good condition. 

Please arrive at least 15 minutes before the advertised start time to prepare, sign on and be ready for the pre-activity briefing.   Please do not attend any Ramblers Club activity if you are not feeling well.

Stiff climb to the summit on a rough track. Great views from there.  Some road walking followed by another bush track through rainforest and then a steep but short climb back to the cars.

Specific Hazards: Cliff edges, slippery track, snakes, leeches and ticks. Specific Abilities: Must be able to do a sustained climb uphill. Must be able to cope with high and uneven steps.

A fresh early start (7:30) for a fresh new year !  You have recovered from the new year’s revelling, hangovers are gone and you are ready to launch into the new year with gusto.  Well this is the ride for you.  I know, I know,  it is the same ol, same ol, but you will see it with a new freshness and clarity because we are now in 2026!   Join the Friday Ferals on their weekly ride along the edge of the great Pacific Ocean.  AND engage in joyful rambling at the Coffee shop.

Easy coastal ride.  Cycle path and best beach scenery.  Mostly flat and relaxing ride.  A couple of stops, and coffee at Thirroul.  The ride ends at this point.  Patrons are free to return to wherever they like, whenever they like and however they like.

A pleasant evening walk from Towradgi through Corrimal Caravan Park, behind the sand dunes to Bellambi returning via Corrimal beach mid tide. Sunset 8:02, Moonrise 8:24. Bring food, possibly to share,  and munch while watching the sun set and waiting for the moon. Council regulations prohibit alcohol in the park or on the beach.

A warm top would be handy if the night is cool. Best footwear is easily removed sandals to best experience Corrimal Beach barefoot. Last year we were entertained by a seal. Carry a spare chair or 2, in case we fill up the shelter shed.

Sat 07 Feb, 2026   Walk: A Sandy Creek Immersion Experience (west of Tomerong)

Starting at the Parma Fire Trail ford across Parma Creek, we’ll follow the fire trails for just over 2km to our first waterhole in Sandy Creek. We’ll then. leisurely,perambulate downstream from waterhole to waterhole. There are so many swimming opportunities that you could lose track as to whether you’re striding or stroking!! Once we get to the second waterfall (accompanied by yet another waterhole), we’ll make a call on which way to return to our cars. As you can see from the distance, this isn’t a high intensity walk – low key dawdling, relaxation and fun is the theme. If you are wondering about what Grade 4 walks are like, this is an ideal one for you to dip your toe into the water (sorry)!!

Paddling Lake Yarrunga from Tallowa Dam up the Shoalhaven River to Fossickers Flat; camping the night there, and then paddling to Hideaway Camping area on the Kangaroo River; camping there the night, and then paddling back to Tallowa Dam.

A paddle to see beautiful scenery and to introduce those new to kayak camping to the equipment required and the joys involved!

Mon 20 Apr, 2026   Paddle: Paddle the Murray River from Tocumwal to Moama including the Barmah Lake/forest

Starting at Tocumwal, after a car shuffle to leave vehicles in Moama, paddling for 5 or 6 days down the Murray to Moama through the Barmah National Park.  Camping will be by the river with all requirements to be carried by participants.  Possible exploration of Barmah Lake.

Specially designed itinerary by Trade Travel to include flights to and from Cairns, visits to local rainforest, talks by local experts on rainforest and reef, visit to art deco town Innisfail, guided excursions from Mission Beach into national parks and islands with historical/scientific talks and easy walks. Options to visit the reef and extend your stay.  Joint trip with National Parks Association.
